Dr Peter Rucastle, originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, has been in private practice for just over thirty years, in South Africa, the U.K. and New Zealand. He has an extensive following that includes moms and dads, toddlers and grandparents, some of Auckland’s revered academics, musicians, architects, lawyers, Olympic athletes and more.
Peter attended the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1989.
Always an artist at heart, Peter found the perfect balance of medicine and design when he founded Smile Xtreme Dental Studio in SA in 2005, and most recently with the acquisition of Sunset Dental Care and a stylish renovation -he practices with a discerning eye for detail and ambition for patient satisfaction, continuing to provide the highest quality of treatment and patient care started by Dr. Jonathan Franks 18 years ago.
Peter is committed to advanced continuing education, attending lectures throughout New Zealand and Australia where he focuses his studies on Cosmetic Dentistry and Full Mouth Rehabilitative Treatment,s including Invisalign and Dental Implants.
Peter is an active member of the New Zealand Dental Association and is registered with the New Zealand Dental Council.
Peter is an avid endurance sport athlete, competitive cyclist and an enthusiast of the arts and design. He has completed an Iron Man and numerous Half Iron Man’s in New Zealand, as well as having completed multiple cycling races in South Africa spanning the past 15 years. He is dedicated to a healthy lifestyle.
